Clash Royale Guide to Reach 5,000
Trophies
First 1,000 Trophies
Getting your first 1,000 trophies should be possible to do with 0 or 1
loss in one or two days if you follow these basic suggestions. Before
getting started, you should decide if you want to spend money or not.
If you are going to spend money, there are two options. the first is
Dash pass. The second is buying 3 evolution shards for knight. If
you want to get to 5k trophies as quickly as possible, you can do it
more quickly by buying 3 evolution shards for knight twice and using
the cards to upgrade knight. That should cost 8 dollars and you should
be able to get knight to level 14 within a month or to if you reserve
using common and universal books for the knight and only use those
reaching levels 13 and 14. Unless you are very unluck, you should get 2
books to upgrade common cards by that time. If you decide to get a dash
pass, that will help you mid and long term, but it isn't necessary for
reaching 5k trophies.
For your first 1k trophies, you're basic strategy is simple, you
start with the same training hand as everyone else, so the 8 cards are
set. So, you'll mostly just place archers or musketeer behind the
knight and that's usually enough to win. Arrows should be used inf your
opponent places archers near his tower. Arrows will kill the archers
and both cost the same exilxir, meaning you get free damage on his
tower doing this.
Sometimes you opponet will attack you with the giant. The minni-pekka
should be able to destory the giant before it reaches your base. If you
bought the knight evolution and your knigh is several levels above your
other cards, you'll want to attack with your knight up front. If not,
you can use the giant and place other cards behind him.
So, games should go as follows. First, wait for 10 elixir unless your
opponent plays first. If he plays first, arrows any archers when they
are at a princess tower (if both are together) Otherwise, set your
units to fight his once they cross the river with your knight first and
your arrows or musketeer behind him. If he uses the giant, your
minipekka can destory him. Use only your minipekka if he uses only the
giant, otherwise, use your knight to soak up attacks and your mini
pekka do damage the knight. Early on, you want to use your
minions rarely or never, and your giant only when you have the
advantage and only ahead of 2 or more other troops.
Once you get goblins from areana 2, replace your minions with
goblins. Avoid grouping your units together where arrows can hit
them all at once.
Reaching 3,000 Trophies
Getting from 1k to 3k trophies you will want to replace giant with
tombstone and then later with witch. If you want, you can replace
archers with bats also. One idea that makes the game easy at early
stages is to replace fireball with Morter. For a while, no one will be
ready to face Morter and you should get easy wins for most games until
you reach 3k, but people will eventually get good enough to figure out
how to play against it.You can replace minipekka with dark prince. At
that point, you're best moving back to a hand that consists mostly of
Knight, Witch, Musketeer, bats, goblins, arrows, and dark prince, along
with a "wind condition" card that targets your opponent's tower. I
would suggest battle ram.
Getting to 3K trophies should easily be possible within 1 week, but it
will get harder if you didn't spend money because you may face a few
people who did and have a huge advantage. Still, you should be within 2
tower levels 90 percent of the time and thus have a chance to win. Your
will want to generally play defense and save elixier. You want to try
to build up 10 elixir when possible and then attack with a big push
usually. That means starting with your knight in the back and putting
other cards behind him. Sometiemes, you'll want to attack on both
sides, by putting your win condition (battle ram) on the other side.
Other times, you're best strategy is a counter attack. Defend the
attack of the other player, and then put your knight in front of your
cards and put down what cards you have and attack after stopping his
attack.
The biggest mistake people make here is not waiting. It's a big mistake
to attack with just 1 card. When possible, you want a high hhp tank,
your knight, in front, and other cards behind.
Raching 5,000 Trophies
Reaching 5,000 Trophies will require using basically the same
game strategy as above, but also learning more about the game. This
website has tips and links to them that will help. It also requires
leveling up your cards. The key to getting to 5k trophies quickly
includes taking advantage of the various ways to get free cards and
gold. It also requires some flexibility in changing your hand based on
what cards you have leveled up. Here is how to do that:
- Join a clan, like Clash Kittens, and participate in Clan Wars
(which gives hundreds of free cards and thousands of free gold coins),
and request cards (gives you free cards) and donate cards. Donating
cards give you gold coins and expereince for leveling up towers, it is
extremely important to donate as many cards as possible. Clan wars is a
great way to get gold coins, so try to do 4 games each day.
- Get the daily rewards every day
- Every day get 1,000 challenge points. Make sure to buy coins when
they cost 400 season tokens (and usually at 800), and sometimes even
more expensive. Get books and use for level 13 cards moving to 14 and
sometimes, early on, when you have 2 books to move from 12 to 13 to 14.
- Try any special challenges and tournements. Start tournoments
during the last 2 days only, as it will be easier.
- Get the daily free items from the shop every day.
- Get as many card mastery levels as possible. When you start
losing games, move from playing trophy road to extra games in the
challenge tab. Use those for card mastery by playing cards that you
don't have mastery of. All cards give 1,000 gold coins for the first 5
wins playing that card. You should get this level of card mastery for
every card. 1k cold coins for 5 wins is well worth it. When you have
cards high enough level for other rewards, you should be trying to get
those mastery as much as possible. Your goal should be to have every
card with level 7 or higher card mastery within a year. Whenever you
are not winning 60 percent of your games, you should move from torphy
road to challenge mode and work on getting card mastery levels. This
helps you learn how to use each card.
- Watching professional videos, watching clan members play,
watching your own games, and reading this website and others for tips.
This doesn't directly help you, but it does increase your knowledge of
the game and help you improve your skill. It's important and needed to
moving up to higher levels.
